Matějovský among the top drivers of the ADAC PROCAR Series |
- 30. 9. 2007, Oschersleben, Germany -At the last weekend of September, the Oschersleben circuit near Magdeburg, Germany, hosted the final racing event of this year of the ADAC PROCAR Series. The race of Division 1, for the second time in this season, was contested by racing driver Michal Matějovský, with the Alfa Romeo 156 S 2000 car. The practice session took place on Saturday. Despite the mostly wet track, Michal, in his category, claimed the fourth spot of the starting grid of the first race, which was held on Sunday. In that race, Michal took the fine fifth place, closely behind the drivers in the third and fourth places respectively! So, in the second race on Sunday, Michal started fifth on the grid. Unfortunately, he got involved in a collision that occurred shortly after the start and, consequently, had to retire from the race. This year's racing events of the ADAC PROCAR Series were undertaken by the team as a test aimed at gaining the maximum possible experience. On both occasions, Matějovský proved that he is capable of competing with the Series' experienced contestants. And, moreover, as the times that he achieved approximately correspond to the third place, it is evident that he does not fall behind the top ranking drivers of this series. |
