The traditional exhibition kart racing event attended by prominent personalities of Czech and Slovak motor sport took place on Saturday, 27 January 2007, on the indoor track of the 'Kart Arena' in Brno (www.kartarenabrno.cz). Almost thirty drivers formed eight teams to contest a race on the 320-metre long track, which is famous for its well-known 30-degree banked curve.
This racing event was held to allow racing drivers of different motor-sport categories to meet in an informal, friendly way before the upcoming season begins. All of them had at their disposal identical machines (MS-Kart 200), and they really could enjoy the hard-fought duels on the track. When he came back to Hradec Králové, Michal Matějovský, satisfied after the race, said: 'In the timed practice session, our team came fourth, among the 8 teams participating. The first driver of our team to become involved in the main two-hour race was Robert Šenkýř. I took over from him when he was running third. For a moment, we were even in the lead. In the end, we finished in third place.'
The final standings of the main two-hour race were as follows:
1st place - Fried, Fila, Nosálek - 'QUALITNÍ GR' Team ('High-quality GR' Team),
2nd place - Zahradníček, Volf, Dolák - 'SMEZAVODO' Team ('We are out of the woods' Team),
3rd place - Matějovský, Šenkýř, Svoboda - 'TUCNACI' Team ('Penguins' Team)
