For time reasons, Jiří Forman will only be able to take part in three or four races of this year of the series, representing the EmiliaKart team, of Italy. The series' opening event took place at the Pomposa circuit, attended by more than forty drivers from five countries. Also joining in was Radim Maxa, of the ČESKOSLOVENSKÝ MOTORSPORT team.
The races were held in heavy rain, on the track covered with water. At first, both Maxa and Forman easily qualified for the 'A' Finals, namely, at the fifth and tenth positions respectively. Unfortunately, Jirka Forman started the race far behind the field because the engine of his kart did not fire. Radim Maxa made a good start, and was running at the front throughout the whole race. He finished fifth. Jirka Forman, after his unlucky start, closed the gap of about 100 metres very quickly and overtook ten drivers within three laps to move up to the tenth position. He kept clocking the fastest lap times, and so it was only a matter of time that he would catch up with the drivers running at the front of the field. However, misfortunes never come singly. On lap five, the exhaust pipe of his kart broke off, and Jiří Forman had to retire from the race. But his stunning performance met with a very good response of all those present.
Moreover, this event held in Italy was also attended by another driver of the ČSMS team, Sébastien Kalvach, of the Czech Republic, who took advantage of the races to get ready for the upcoming Championship of the Czech Republic. He accomplished tens of practice laps, and kept improving at a rapid pace.
