At the end of June, Cervia, Italy, hosted another round of the Italian series EasyKart Championship (www.easykart.it, www.happyvalleykart.com). The practice sessions took place on Friday, and Radim Maxa was doing quite well in the morning, clocking lap times placing him approximately fifth, despite the team's struggling with the chassis set-up. By Saturday afternoon, however, the team managed to adjust the kart in an excellent way, and Maxa posted the fastest time in the first of the two qualifying sessions. He did not take part in the second one, waiting for the results in the pits. As no one managed to beat his time, Maxa retained the poll position for the subsequent final race, held on Saturday night.
Radim Maxa made a good start, ahead of Jan Midrla, one of the best Czech kart drivers, who was chased by Zonzini, of San Marino, and Agostini, of Italy, and by the large pack. Radim managed to build up his lead gradually, leaving his rivals behind. He won the race, having kept his position from start to finish. Zonzini came second, and Jan Midrla was third in the end. After coming back home, the satisfied driver Radim Maxa said: 'This is an enormous success for us, having won there in the face of the great competition of more than thirty drivers from Italy, Poland, Russia, Croatia, Spain, Venezuela and San Marino.'
