Another event of the Race Car Circuit Championship of the Czech Republic was held from 21 to 23 September at the Brno Masaryk Circuit, once again contested by the drivers of the Alcatel-Lucent Motorsport team.
It was particularly Miroslav Forman that achieved success at that weekend. By adding the third place from the Sunday sprint race to his series of previous reliable results, he won his first Championship title of the Race Car Circuit Championship of the Czech Republic within his career of a racing driver, namely, in the 2000cc category of Division 4. And, moreover, a title of the Czech Republic's Sprint Race Champion will be awarded this year for the first time, and so Miroslav Forman will take this title as well. Forman drove the AUDI A4 ST car once again in the race at the Brno circuit. He covered the 10 laps within the time of 22:53.065, that is, at the average speed of 141.66 km/hour. Another driver representing the team was Šimon Kubišta, who, with the Alfa Romeo 147 GTA Cup car, finished eighth in the Sunday sprint race, owing to his fine, reliable performance. Jiří Nykodým, with the Alfa Romeo 147 GTA Cup as well, claimed the twelfth spot among 21 drivers that had entered for the race.
The Sunday sprint races were preceded by the three-hour endurance race on Saturday, contested by the crews of Nykodým - Lepka - Forman and Kubišta - Šita - Forman, each of them with an Alfa Romeo 147 GTA Cup car. The first driver at the wheel of car No. 83 was Jiří Nykodým, at the wheel of the second car, No. 82, was Šimon Kubišta. Nykodým had to retire from the race due to a technical problem with the vehicle shortly after the start. The second crew fared better, with Šimon Kubišta as the first driver at the wheel. Šimon Kubišta started well. However, he was also confronted with technical troubles during the tough race: about one hour after the start, he got involved in a minor collision with Foukal's Honda at the Švanc Curve and, consequently, his car became unstable. So, Šimon Kubišta had to make a pit stop and the mechanics fitted a new front right axle shaft. After the repair, Šimon Kubišta returned on the track and, immediately before David Šita took over, managed to set his best lap at the Brno circuit up to that time, below the limit of 2:25 (i.e., 2:24.788; on Sunday, in the course of the sprint race, he even clocked a lap time of 2:24.345). Šita, afterwards, safely completed the race. If the unfortunate technical problem had not occurred, this crew could have finished among the top three or top five.
