TATRA truck maker celebrated its 110th anniversary |
- 1. 9. 2007, Kopřivnice -Having increased its production by 76 % just over the first six month of this year, with the forecast suggesting a similar trend, the Tatra truck maker, based in the town of Kopřivnice, is celebrating its 110th anniversary. A major celebration took place on Saturday, 1 September 2007, accompanied by a magnificent, interesting all-day program prepared on the premises of the Tatra company's 'Polygon' test track. One of the guests was Stanislav Matějovský, the general manager of the company ČESKOSLOVENSKÝ MOTORSPORT a.s., based in Hradec Králové. It was with the TATRA JAMAL EVO IV truck that Stanislav Matějovský won the title of the FIA European Truck Racing Cup Champion. In the course of the celebration, Stanislav Matějovský met with the general director of the company TATRA Kopřivnice, Mr Ronald A. Adams. The program of the Tatra company's celebration also included the festive arrival of veteran cars; among them were numerous vehicles that took part in the 'TATRA VETERAN RALLYE' from Vienna to Kopřivnice. One of the cars entered for this rally was the replica of the famous 'Präsident', which, normally, can only be seen in the 'Technical Museum Tatra' in Kopřivnice, but, on this occasion, it was brought to the start in Vienna. |
