This year's motor-sport season is coming to an end and this period traditionally offers to the drivers and other members of the team an opportunity to meet with representatives of the partner companies, with the team's fans and with other guests. Such a meeting was staged by the ČESKOSLOVENSKÝ MOTORSPORT a.s. company at the Autodrom Most Circuit on Wednesday, 24 October 2007. Almost one hundred guests arrived to enjoy the really magnificent program which was prepared for them.
'We meet many of our guests regularly during the season, mostly in the course of the individual racing events. However, on those occasions, we do not have much time to pause and discuss issues connected with races, with preparation of race cars, etc. At a Team's Day event such as this one, we have enough time for all this and, moreover, each of the participants has a unique opportunity to try our race cars and the race track of the Most circuit in the role of a co-driver,' Stanislav Matějovský, the team's general manager, commented on the program of the Team's Day.
The O2 MOTORSPORT team's drivers Laura Hájková, Michal Matějovský and Ctirad Hájek, each of them with an Octavia cup car, were available to the guests who, almost everyone, wanted to experience a ride in the race car. This also applies to the other vehicles - the Alfa Romeo 147 GTA or the so-called 'showcars' - with racing drivers of the Alcatel-Lucent MOTORSPORT team at the wheel. So, the team's guests, at the co-driver's seat, could enjoy the ride with Miroslav Forman, this year's Champion of the 2000cc category of Division 4 of the Race Car Circuit Championship of the Czech Republic, or with other drivers of the team's line-up - Šimon Kubišta, Jiří Nykodým, Stanislav Lepka and Michael Vorba.
The weather was favourable this time and so the guests of the Team's Day event could experience the swift driving style demonstrated by the team's aces on the dry track throughout most of the day. By the way, all of the team's drivers probably wish to see such a track at the upcoming weekend, when the last racing events of this season are held, namely, the '2007 Epilog', at the Brno circuit, and the FIA European Touring Car Cup, which takes place at the Adria circuit in Italy; the latter one, the FIA ETCC racing event, will be contested by Michal Matějovský, who, accompanied by a part of the team, will set out on the journey to Italy right after the meeting at the Most circuit.
