Last weekend, the Brno Masaryk Circuit saw the triumph of racing driver Michal Matějovský, of the O2 Motorsport team based in Hradec Králové, who dominated the Škoda Octavia Challenge racing event. He pulled of a coup by winning the practice session and the two races, the same as at the last year's racing event at the Brno circuit.
'I am very satisfied, both with my performance and with the results. The outcomes of the qualifying were excellent and I am very pleased with my time of 2:24.310. Then, in the actual race, I drove with concentration. The car's set up was excellent and I really enjoyed racing in front of the large audience. This victory improved my appetite after the technical troubles that I had experienced during this year of the Octavia Cup series,' Michal Matějovský said after the two races. He won the first one ahead of Urban and Brejla, and the second one, ahead of Vršínský and Fulín.
Michal's team colleague, Laura Hájková, who drove in a very fine, reliable manner, finished ninth and twelfth in the first and second races respectively, among almost twenty drivers.
The CSMS team was represented by Marek Ďurovkin at the Brno circuit. He clocked the thirteenth fastest time in the qualifying, and came sixteenth and thirteenth in the first and second races respectively.
