The Brno Circuit was under the Seat colours on Sunday
Throughout the first Sunday of April, in favourable, warm spring weather, the SUNRED-BRT, SUNRED, and SEAT Sport Slovakia teams were busy testing their Seat cars at the Brno Masaryk Circuit. While the SUNRED-BRT and SUNRED teams were preparing their cars for the Seat León Eurocup series' racing event that takes place in Brno within the FIA WTCC Weekend on 20 - 21 June, the objective of the SEAT Sport Slovakia team's tests was the first race of the International Racing Circuit Championship of the Czech Republic (MMČR), to be held in Brno, too, already on 25 - 26 April 2009.
'I am glad that the circuit is fully at our disposal. So, we have enough time to work on the optimum car set-up for the race in Brno, which, for me, is the most important action of the year,' said Michal Matějovský and added, 'The fact that we are able to take full advantage of the circuit on Sunday is of major importance to us, and I would like to thank the Automotodrom Brno company's managers for providing this testing opportunity to us. We will continue with the tests until Monday, but on Monday afternoon we will already be moving to Imola, Italy, where the official testing event for the 2009 Seat León Eurocup series' drivers takes place on Wednesday, 8 April.'
Among the drivers attending the testing in Brno was the team's guest, Milan Vaňkát, who tried the track on Sunday. His performance proved that he is very well acquainted with the Brno Circuit. Furthermore, the SEAT Sport Slovakia team's driver Vlado Hybáček presented the team's new car for this year's MMČR series' season, once again, a diesel-powered Seat León, and the first test results were very good.
